At The Therapy Collective we facilitate a range of groups which focus on educating clients on as well as providing skills for various mental health challenges within a safe connection with others in a small group. 

There are several benefits of groups:

  • Reduce isolation and increase relatedness/connection: you are not alone in your struggles;
  • You are not compelled to share your feelings or experiences, but if you so choose it can bring you relief and boost confidence;
  • Sharing information can also be helpful to other group members;
  • A safe and supportive place to experiment with and practice new skills and behaviours;
  • Find hope and inspiration: with members being at different stages of change and growth, seeing how others are successfully coping and progressing can be very encouraging;
  • Affordability: for those seeking to gain some psychological information, guidance and coping skills but cannot afford individual therapy, joining a group can be a much cheaper option.
