Claudette Jordan

Claudette is a registered psychologist (South Africa and Singapore) whose professional journey spans over 26 years of varied global practice. Before moving to Singapore, she ran a thriving practice where she worked with adults, children, couples, and families in private practice, in patient hospital programs and within corporate and organisational settings.

Apart from her extensive experience, Claudette brings heartfelt insight, care and compassion to successfully support clients with anxiety, depression and mood disorders, stress, traumasubstance abusecompulsive sexual behaviour, grief, self-concept and identity, and chronic and terminal medical conditions. She has additional expertise in supporting couples and families through various transitions and relational stress, marriage preparation, divorce support, parenting, empty nest. She holds space for each partner or family member to feel seen and heard, repair and rebuild relational fractures. 

Experience And Approach

Through her training in the APSATS Multi-Dimensional Trauma Model (Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists) and her insight into complex and relational trauma, she  creates a safe, nonjudgemental space for  individuals and couples navigating relational abuse, infidelity, and betrayal trauma. Claudette is an APSATS trained partner specialist  candidate (Certified Clinical Partner Specialist – Candidate).   

Having worked in various multidisciplinary teams in the area of neurodivergence, learning and developmental difficulties, she also supports adolescents, adults, couples and families with an integrative approach to navigating challenges associated with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and related presentations.

Claudette believes that emotional distress can often be stored in the body and may present as physical symptoms as well. Her desire to support her clients beyond talk therapy alone led to her completion of a Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (USA) certification. With her additional coaching qualifications, she helps clients who are keen to take a whole-body approach to therapy by incorporating nutrition, movement, sleep, and self-care practices that might be effective to support  various mental health challenges (anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, sleep difficulties and ADHD). Additionally, she also works with individuals struggling with lifestyle, general health or medical conditions, such as  autoimmune and thyroid conditions, adrenal dysfunction, perimenopause and menopause. In the corporate world, she is also passionate about advocating for an organisational culture that promotes the healthy mental well-being of its employees for optimal productivity, relational and business growth. Being an expat herself, a working mom, in a multi-cultural marriage, and overcoming some of her own health issues, Claudette understands first-hand how various life challenges and contexts can impact one’s mental well-being. In her leisure time, Claudette enjoys walks in nature, kettlebell training, crafting, cooking and connecting with others.
